The events, aimed all Paediatric Healthcare Professionals and Students involved a combination of short lectures and Q&A covering the following key learning objectives:

  • To improve healthcare professionals knowledge and skills and management when delivering care to children and young people with clinical holding, low arousal and challenging behaviour.
  • To align with the NMC standards of ensuring care delivered is Safe, Effective, Passionate and Respectful.
  • To ensure techniques align to professionals working within and out of the hospital environment.
  • To ensure healthcare professionals are equipped to deliver person centred care
  • To create an opportunity for discussion and networking around these areas.
