Partners in Paediatrics Nurse Forum have been delighted to provide six weeks of online training, updates and guidance for paediatric staff from across the region.

168 people registered for the sessions which ran from Wednesday 3rd June to 8th July 2020.
Session one – gave an update on ‘PIMS-TS’ as well as nurse experience of caring for PIMS-TS patients on PICU at BWCH
Session two – delivered a presentation on ‘Children with Tracheostomies’ from Alison Warren, Senior Lecturer BCU and a parent perspective from Sarah Taylor
Session three – presented on ‘Feeding development in preterm infants’ -in relation to paediatric nurses caring for infants on paediatric wards, from Sara Clarke, Senior Specialist Neonatal Network Dietitian, WMNODN supported by Emma Foulerton, Network Physio and Katy Parnell Network Speech and Language Therapy
Session four – presented Empowering Nurses – “Leading Children and Young People’s Services” delivered by Caron Eyre, Director of Nursing, Quality & Governance, Birmingham Women’s & Children’s Hospital
Session five – gave a vital update on ‘Self Care & Resilience’ presented by Dr Clare Barker-Ellis, Clinical Psychologist, Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital
Session six – The final session saw ‘Human Factors’ presented Mary Salama, Consultant in General Paediatrics, Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital
