Quality Improvement Contracting Opportunity

Are you looking to increase your Quality Improvement knowledge?

Or are you an experienced Quality Improvement guru seeking their next opportunity?

Maybe you are looking to gain some experience within the NHS?

Or are you a clinician or administrator looking to learn how quality improvement could positively impact your area of work ?

An exciting opportunity has arisren to work within Partners in Paediatrics, supporting project work within our specialist children’s hospital.

As one of its member organisations, Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust have commissioned the support of PiP to work on a number of projects embedded within their Quality Improvement Team. BWC are committed to a Quality Improvement culture that is truly embedded and harnessed throughout all levels of the organisation.

The QI team aims to encourage each member of staff within the BWC organisation to continuously spot challenges within their area of work to improve the services they offer patients, service users and families.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to represent PiP within the Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Quality Improvement Team and due to the various projects and support roles that we can offer the organisation, we can look at applicants looking for various levels of responsibility, projects and programme sizes. Examples could be consulting, project support, project lead or administrative positions. Due to this, we are recruiting a little differently. Rather than prescribing the roles that we need, we would like to hear what you could offer the Quality Improvement team! We can consider a range of types of roles – full, part time or flexible hours; clinical, project professionals or those with just a keen interest in Quality Improvement. You would be paid on a self-employed hourly basis, through PiP but working on an honorary contract embedded within Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospitals.

Would you like to know more?  If you can answer yes to one or more of these questions, come and talk to us:

  • Are you a great ‘people person’, approachable and with excellent communication skills?
  • Do you embrace diversity and inclusion, ambitious to help all staff to achieve their goals?
  • Are you a fantastic administrator, able to organise and coordinate a team?
  • Do you enjoy working fluidly, comfortable to work with a variety of teams and individuals across a range of locations?
  • Have you experience of planning, coordinating or delivering education – or are you keen to develop these skills?
  • Have you got an interest in Quality Improvement and experience of ‘making things better’ in past or existing roles? Or have you got experience in Project Management or support?
  • Have you got experience of designing or supporting strategies or approaches to Quality Improvement?

We will be holding two virtual open day sessions, where we will tell you a little bit more about PiP and the Associate Director for Quality Improvement within BWC will share more information about the ambition, the team and what posts are available.

You are encouraged to attend the session if you are interested in applying for any potential roles available within the team.

The sessions contain a 20 minute presentation, followed by an optional 40 minutes available for any questions or discussion.
