The West Midlands Cerebral Palsy and Spasticity Network, in conjunction with Partners in Paediatrics, have recently held their Annual Study Day.

The programme included a range of topics including 

  • Physiotherapeutic Options in Cerebral Palsy
  • Early Interventions/Portage
  • Targeted Training
  • Functional Electrical Stimulation
  • Leg Length Discrepancy, Assessment and Management
  • Hippotherapy
  • Bobath/Neurodevelopment Treatment (NDT)
  • Active Weight Bearing
  • CPIP during and after Covid
  • Update on CPIP in the West Midlands and around the country

Delegates

The event was aimed at Consultants, Doctors in training, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, orthotists,  podiatrists and General Practitioners. Over 160 people registered for this event and the initial evaluation received has been positive.  

 

Over the next few months the network will come together to review the feedback and make plans for further education in 2021 to meet the needs of its members.
