The PiP team were so pleased to support the Midlands Long Term Ventilation Network with thier ‘Carers Celebration’ at Rainbows Childrens Hospice.
‘Celebrating Long Term Ventilation Carers Conference 2026’ brought together healthcare professionals and carers for a meaningful day dedicated to recognising and supporting those who care for children and young people on long-term ventilation.
It was fantastic to see such engagement across a range of important topics, including career progression opportunities for carers, recognising and responding to deteriorating children and young people, communication and play, professionalism and boundaries, and resilience.
Most importantly, the day created a valuable space for networking, sharing experiences, and strengthening peer support across our community.

HUGE THANKS and CONGRATULATIONS to the longstanding network Chair, Consultant nurse David Widdas.
David led the network with an unwavering commitment for many years, as well as sharing his generosity and knowledge with the professionals the network supports, David has shaped and influenced the care of children and young people across our region.
We wish David a long and happy retirement !
