Congratulations to Detective Chief Superintendent Vicky Lee on National NPCC Commendation

We are delighted to congratulate our colleague and long-standing Child Death Network member, Detective Chief Superintendent Vicky Lee, on receiving a National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) National Capabilities Portfolio Commendation.

This prestigious national award recognises Vicky’s outstanding contribution to child death review, investigation and safeguarding, together with her valued service as a member of the NPCC Homicide Working Group Child Death Sub-Group.

The commendation acknowledges Vicky’s exceptional leadership, professionalism and unwavering commitment to improving outcomes for children and families. Through her work in developing multi-agency training, promoting collaborative practice and advancing child death review processes, she has made a significant and lasting impact at both local and national levels.

Vicky is also a highly valued member of the Association of Child Death Review Professionals (ACDRP) Board and has been a dedicated member of the West Midlands Child Death Review Network for many years. Throughout this time, she has generously shared her expertise, championed partnership working and played an instrumental role in strengthening collaboration, learning and professional practice across the region.

Her commitment to supporting professionals and driving continuous improvement within the child death review community has benefited countless colleagues and, ultimately, the children and families they serve.
